my prodigal son

I offer this simple, free, and original hymn to the world. It’s called “My Prodigal Son”.

This is a homemade-quality clip of “My Prodigal Son” being used in a parish setting. (St. Robert’s Parish. Shorewood, WI. March 03, 2016.)

The Inspiration

I wrote this hymn while on retreat, under the inspiration of Henri Nouwen’s incredible book The Return of the Prodigal Son. It’s a four-verse narration of the “Parable of the Lost Son” set from the perspective of the Father.

I eagerly await a recording of this hymn being used in your parish!

“A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just.”
